Julie there was an experiment a few years ago over a six week period Slendertone against traditional exercise and you can guess which had results and which group stayed the same![msnwink]

I've got a slender tone, its like being sent to the electric chair if you get the voltage wrong, I used to lie on the bed with it attached and read a book but if anyone had looked through the window they would have thought I was a complete nutter, I used to think if you turned it up it would work quicker, so all you would ever hear was Arrgh, Ow, Ohhhhh, Eeeeek!!!!
I would be writhing all over the bed just to lose an inch or so.

Its what my husband calls a Breville Toaster.....one of the things you must get, but then it goes in the cupboard, because you cant be bothered using it all the time....just like your Breville Toaster.

As for toning tables, I have yet to see someone who has been on one of those and its makes you look like Elle Mcphearson, maybe thats why they are free because if you paid for going on it you would be asking for all your money back.

I think a good spring clean around the house ( from top to bottom) is better exercise for the old bod, whilst you are stretching at least your house looks better, even if you dont.

Julie as my personal trainer says there are no short cuts Im afraid you just got to do it - like the Nike ads say!

You have to do the time and the miles - proper exercise[msnwink]

i had a friend many years ago who used one of these toning tables, she looked fab! she lost so many inches from all over her body! but when she stopped it went straight back on! (she had some problem with her neck very big,) and when she started losing weight she was so miserable and she knew it, everyone that knew her knew she had lost her spark! she put it all back on so quickly and became her old self again, but has since lost a little bit of weight,

Thought I had better report in. I am still here but suffering with my teeth and mouth also very bad head aches. Thank god I have the dentist today at 4pm. It got so bad yesterday that I went to the emergency dentist at the hospital, waste of time that was, she gave me antibiotics and told me to tell the dentist to sort it out.

Have been good with the eating and had no chocolate.

Hope everyone is OK and keeping up the good work.

Calamity Jane, are you sure that was a slender tone you were using, sounds interesting.

Now come on you know I don't cheat Lucy [msnwink]

Seriously - I don't, I do put the work in when I go to the gym, wether I go often enough is another thing [msnwink]

It's just that the tables seem really popular and I wondered if I was missing out on something good?

    Hi Everyone.

Looks like the chocolate weekend came and went without to much difficulty. Hubby bought me basket of luxury chocolates and a large thick easter egg. which I havn't eaten yet, made the chocolates last a couple of days though and shared them out.

I hav been making sure my eating habits ahve been good, breakfast and a salad for lunch with an early healthy dinner if I can. Exercise is now four times a week and feeling better and lasting longer. BUT still no weight loss yet.

How long does it take for metabolism to kick in.
