I assume it is Washington state that you've listed Liz? Have you been to the Olympic National Park there? Apparently, it is the only temperate rainforest on earth. That, all the NPs in Utah and White Sands in New Mexico are on the top of my 'should go' list.

We stayed with my bother in law in Seattle, and although we went up Mount Ranier we didn't get to Olympic National Park as we spent some of our time tavelling in Canada.
Have you been to Capitol Reef National Park in Utah? That really is a hidden gem?

You are such a lucky thing living in the US!!!How long have you been there now?
    [/quote]

We've lived here 5 years now.....but a lot of the traveling was done when we still lived in England.....out of all the places so far I love Montana best.....and have looked at buying a home there....but hubby thinks its to far to travel for a holiday home..and work is hard to come by there... so moving full time is not on the cards....and winters are long...and snow gets old quick......so we are looking at Virginia....or the Carolina's...

Wow, I didn't realize it was that many till I listed them, and there are many more I want to visit, especially in the East. Would love to follow the civil war trail. Next year it will be a trip down the east coast to Florida. Looking forward to hearing about your forthcoming trip Nostromo

Loved Niagara Chrizzy, even my sons thought it was spectacular and being teenagers it takes alot to impress them.

No Liz, I have not yet visited Utah. I know that it has more National Parks than any other state and will go someday soon. But I am told that Salt Lake City is dullsville.

I think I've visited 15 - I've been on tours when it isn't always clear whether you are 'visiting' or passing through.

John & Sarah - I'm interested to see you have visited Virginia. We're off there in March for 10 days although I only booked the flights and a first night's stay in Boston so far. Any recommedations or places to avoid?

Definitely recommend the blue ridge mountains!

Will have to get Steve to list all the states we have visited so that I can post them.
