    Buying a buggy

Does anyone know where would be the best place to buy a buggy when we got to Orlando? I have looked at the Walmart and Burlington Coat Factory sites as we do have someone to deliver it to if we did it on the net.

It needs to be fairly sturdy but I do not want a basic umbrella fold as I want it to have shade, a basket underneath and lie back a little. I am willing to pay a little more as it will be used again for other family.

Any ideas? Internet or in store - I'd love some help with this one![msnsmile2]

I know you said you checked the website but they had a good selection in store at the Burlington Coat Factory on OBT.
We bought a nice umbrella stroller, with shade and basket for not much.
Some nice higher priced more robust stroller systems too.

Toys R Us have a huge baby section in the US - Babys R Us I believe. I bought a lot of my baby linens etc there.
You will find Walmart, KMart, Target all sell baby equipment - you will find all kinds of stroller including the more sturdy types. They are generally very cheap compared to the UK aswell. We bought a stroller from Walmart - it was easy - they are boxed ready to take away.

I bought mine from the Burlington Coat Factory for around $25 . I think it is the sort you are looking for, it folds flat rather than umbrella fold, has a fairly large basket and hood (also a removable drink/food tray (and one on the back with cup holder) and can be laid right back so is suitable from birth onwards. I figured if it was a bit more substantial there was less chance of it being left at the parks. It was fine when we last saw it in September after a year and has been used by several families during that time.

    Hi Millie

we bought a fantastic buggy in Toys R Us, opposite Florida Mall, they have a great selection and the prices are unbelievable. We paid $100 for one that is over £150 back in the UK. Well worth a look.

Where's the Buirlington Coat factory? We'll need one when we are over in May with our baby grandson-and at $25 we'll leave it behind for villa guests to use.

Burlington Coat Factory is on Orange Blossom Trail, just up from the entrance to the Florida Mall but on the other side of the road.

    Morning all,

Just a word of caution from our recent experience of buying a buggy from Toys R Us.

We bought a buggy/high chair and travel crib on our recent visit to our villa, all from Toys R us. We made the decision not to unpack any of the items but to leave them in one of the master bedroom closets ready for the first guests that required them.

The family that followed us into our villa, rang to say that had needed to use the buggy as there's had become left behind in Washington during a frantic transit. On opening the box for the buggy, they found it scratched and scuffed and only 2 wheels!!! Quite clearly a returned item!!!

On phoning Toys R Us (Eagle Ridge Mall) they were singularly unhelpful.

Our guests have been out and bought another buggy which they will leave in the villa and we will have to wait until our next visit to return the used buggy to Toys R Us.

Moral of the tale, check all the items before leaving them.
