Carolyn, no wonder you are excited with your anniversary, visit to the place you got married and taking Rachel all mixed in with Florida magic[msnsmile2]

The thing our daughter (Rachel too) was most impressed with at an early age were all the different park buggies, from dolphins to flintstones at the time, like how they are more interested in the boxes than the toys !!!! She loved the other things too, but always wanted to claim her buggy after the ride!!

I know what you mean Maggie.
Ours loved the car trolleys at Publix, go figure..

No park tickets next time, we're just going to walk around Publix for 7 hours in the car trolleys [msnwink]

To keep this thread on topic, I too booked my flights last night.

Should I be building a day in Walmart into our itinerary then? Just so she can go in the trolley [laugh]

It's also my 25th birthday while we're there. Excellent! We have been twice before but always landed home a day or so before my b-day so been horribly jet-lagged. Not this time! Plus the other 2 times I couldn't drink: once because I turned 21 a couple of days after we got home and the other time I was pregnant. Bring on the [drinkbeer][laugh] Looking forward to relaxing by pool with a lovely drink (in a plastic glass of course [msnwink]) How funny that I was old enough to get married in the sunshine state, but I couldn't have a glass of champers to celebrate!

But thats true here too, you can get married at 16, have children but you can't buy a drink.

Then of course there are the parks!!! Or the Golf, or The Space Centre!! You just have to love Florida!! [8D]Glad you have those flights booked!!! It is just the best feeling isn't it Carolyn? Our daughter was 18mths on her first trip, she loved it!!! Still does, and 13 this year!!! Gulp!

hi carolyn ,we too flew with bmi via washington to tampa in oct, fantastic flight with bmi and united, quick couple of tips try and pre-book your seats for both legs now,it will save time in washinton,if you have any buggys, they do not come off with the main bags they go to a section called (awkward sizes),we waisted a lot of time waiting for this.how much time have you got between flights,we had 2hrs 45mins and made the connection by mins..once you have your bags you have to drop them off at the tranfer point, then go to the security check, which was bedlam, once through here you have to catch a bus to the internal departures gates.you may have to run...hope this helps ..best of luck ..[msnsmile2]

Liesa that sounds like fun [msnsmile] I like booking in advance lol. Only down side is I will now drive myself insane planning the itinerary, thinking about what we need to take... expect a million daft questions over the coming months! Rachel has never been abroad before so it will be like a military operation. It's bad enough packing for a UK hol, never mind a fortnight in America. Good job we have huge baggage allowance.

CarolAnn I remember going to one of the Walmart stores on our first trip and I swear I got lost!!!!!! It was massive! Think H will try to deter me from shopping.... yeah, good luck with that [msnwink]

Kay9jess that is really helpful. We have 2hrs 30mins connection [msneek] I think I might leave the srtoller at home... not sure yet. The villa that is my current fave has one and I can always buy one if neccesary. Just wondering what to do about car seats...... would prefer to take out own with if it comes off the oversize baggage belt we could be there all day. Decisions decisions! I prebooked my seats today and also a child meal for Rachey.

Jolliffee: very true, I forgot (d'oh!)

we have booked our flights for end of May but not booked our villa yet.
As it is the childrens holidays in the UK I am getting a little worried that the best villas will be booked up!
I have to say it is somewhat confusing searching through all the villas when you dont really understand where they are located. They all say '10 mins to Disney'[msncool]

dont sound so worried, lots of the villa are only 10 mins from Disney etc.. if you send a DM (direct message) to anyone i am sure that you will get an honest answer to the whereabouts of the villas etc............maybe you can see by the map, click on orlando maps i think at the bottom of the page they might show you but ask no one minds..........
