    Whoohooooo, flights booked!!!!!!

    HOW excited am I?!!!!!!!

Last time we were in Florida was November 2002. Just booked for myself, H and our daughter for November this year. It will be Rachel's first trip and she will be 2.5 years old [msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2] I can't wait to see her face when she sees Mickey, Bear in the Big Blue House, Roly Poly Olie etc. It will be fan-bloomin-tastic.

Booked with BMI travelling MAN-IAD-TPA for 2 weeks of glorious fun in the sun. We travel out on our wedding anniversary and will be making a pilgrimage to Leu Gardens during the stay, where we got married [:I]

    Only 306 days to go.....

    Carolyn

(still getting loads of villa replies too! Must be well over 60 now in 24 hours.)

    Carolyn,

I know MAN is Manchester and I am presuming TPA is Tampa but where is IAD?

Washington Dulles airport. Sorry, I work in travel and I'm so used to talking in airport code!

The flights I found were very close in terms of price to AA and DL, but BMI won due to seat back TV's.

    It is the best feeling!

Thanks Carolyn, I wondered that too. All these codes I'm sure we hold a conversation without seaking a proper word.[msnwink]

Company I work for is shocking at speaking in code. They have an abbreviation addiction!

I just realised.... key lime pie.....[msntongue][msntongue][msntongue]OMG I want to go now!

Hi Carolyn, The first time we took our boys to florida they were 31/2 and just turned 2. They had a great time and I have to say it was the best ever time I have been there. To see Disney through your little ones eyes is amazing.

Hi Carolyn - glad you have a nice lot of villas to choose from and that your holiday plans are falling into place. Don't forget to use the links baout for park tickets and car hire - they are good prices and very easy to buy/book.

As a new villa owner I'd be very interested to know how you are going about choosing from that number of replies, so I can increase my chances of my villa being chosen in the future.[msnwink]

Is it easy to narrow it down to a shortlist or have you still got a long list?[msnsmile2]

    Hi Jo

I do now have a short list of about 10 properties selected from an incredible 87 relies I got through the 3 property links in 24 hours. Amazing! The short list contains villas with pools and a couple of townhouse/condo style properties with no pools. Mainly this is because they are cheaper, however I really would like a pool so it is highly likely we'll go for a villa. I am really surprised, even shocked that I got so many replies. I never knew there were that many 3 bed villas! It really is an embarrassment of riches to choose from.

Main points for selecting them has been location of community and price. Having stayed on Westridge before, I don't really want to be any further away that that and would prefer to be along 192. Some replies have offered very good prices for early booking and we are trying to keep it to around £850 mark inc pool heat, but there is some flexibilty there if the right one comes in.

I adore staying in a villa. I just love the freedom and being able to eat your breakfast and drink fab Florida OJ by the pool while still in your PJ's [:I]. Definitely the way to go, especially with a child. I would go stir-crazy in a hotel for a fortnight! [msneek]
