I need to vent my spleen!!!!

I have just discovered that the memory card from my Laptop has been stolen and no doubt sold and I have lost all my Florida pictures from our last holiday[msncry][msncry][msncry]

I had given the computer to my husbands best friend as his brother in law fixes them for people to supplement his invalidity benefits.

When asking someone for a second opinion, they have discovered the missing memory. I am not only angry that someone has stolen from me, the most upsetting thing is the photos, I did transfer them to disk but that went missing in a house move there are pictures on there of my brother on one knee proposing to his girlfriend with Mickey Mouse and my children[msnmad][msnmad][msnmad][msnmad]

Sorry to bore you all but only all of the people on here can appreciate the loss of those piccies, so thankyou, I feel a bit better now

I know just how you feel. I lost some excellent photos from our recent Orlando visit when I accidentally (and stupidly) erased them from my memory card before downloading them onto the portable hard drive. Among the pics were the Saturday Night Car Cruise from Old Town and my own heroics with The Slingshot and Sky Coaster![msncry]

So sorry, Anita!! That is a great loss! Well I guess the only solution is to go back, do it all again and get more pictures!!

Only trouble is some of htose photos (like the proposal) can never be done again[msncry]

So sorry - I have lost photos before and thye just can't be replaced.

I'm so sorry to hear that Anita. I know how feel and it's terrible.

Did you email any of the photos to anyone, or upload them to a website like ofoto, or have any of them printed, or copied to CD?

Is it possible to follow the trail of the laptop to know exactly who has been in contact with it? The card may have dropped out by accident.

I know they're all long shots but maybe worth a try.

I would put any others online in a yahoo/MSN album.......thats what I do.....thats no help now I know.....but could stop upset in the future......

if it helps I can email you some of my own scenic shots, I know that won't replace the ones of the family but at least you will have the views. Im sure there are other people on this site that would also let you have copies of there photos too? DM me you email address if you want to take me up on the offer.

PS-you should tell you friend that supplementing his income by working while claiming benefit is fraud, that is if he hasn't informed his local Social Security office of what he's doing.

I have just got the laptop back and to my joy, all my pictures are still on it!!!! I am no computer whizzkid and it transpires that although the memory chips were taken, the pictures are actually saved on my hard drive!!!!!!! As soon as I can find out how to post pictures, I will put some on here
