    Christmas Celebrations

Can anyone tell me how long the ice show at Gaylord Palms is on for? I'm hoping it's until 6th Jan as we arrive in Florida on 4th and I'd love to see it. Are any of the other celebrations still on after Christmas e.g. Osbourne lights, Celebration etc.?

Thanks for all your help - it looks like it'll have to be another time.[msnsad] It was seeing Amy's photos which made me want to go to see it as I didn't know it existed until then.

We went to ICE on Christmas eve!

It only takes 20 mins to go through the ice show - worth every penny though! Its a bit intolerable to stay in there much longer it is VERY VERY cold! The staff are on 20 min shifts as they are not allowed to stay in there for longer due to health and safety.

We booked dinner at the villa de Flora for afterwards!v Wow it was fabulous!!!!!!!! (at a later date we had lunch _-- Not so impressive) They give you a voucher for a free hot chocolate and they are currently running a free Xmas show in the main atrium - which was quite well done [45 mins long]. There is a discount voucher for meals attched to the hot choc voucher - we got the discount even though we had pre booked the meal months ago. The whole complex is wonderful and worth a look round with a swampy area and a few baby gators and turtles- and shops and vast corridoors and fountain. If you are short on time linsan you could do the ICE thing in 20 mins plus a hot choccie and out through the swamp area on 15- 20 more mins - but as Sylvia says you could easily spend the most part of a day there especially if you eat there too.
I have taken some photos and will attempt to post them when I can in the next week or so. Joolz

Celebration has finished its celebrations by then. We were also at Ice on Xmas Eve. It is good but very short. We went round a corner expecting for more as it was just warming up ( LOL) and found ourselves outside!! We had the hot choc and a walk around the hotel but the whole lot didnt take much more than an hour. If you go late afternoon, you got the show which would have extended it a little. At $17 may even have been plus tax, not cheap though I do realise how much power it must take to keep the sculptues frozen. And yes, I did do the ice slides!!
