I have an O2 XDa II hand held pda/mobile phone, it is tri band and I can access my internet e-mail accounts and surf the net with it. What I would like to know is could I access internet with it when I am in Florida, I know that I can use it as a mobile phone whilst I am there, but not too sure about the e-mail access, is there anybody who could advise me. Thanks.
It would seem logical that you should still be able to access the internet in the USA, but if not, there are numerous internet cafes where you could get on line. Some hotels also offer this facility.
If you are staying at a villa, check with the owner, as many now provide free internet access and PC's.

Be very careful, we had one and went to Spain and came back with a huge bill £300. What it did was to check every so often for an email so it made an internet connection, though only briefly they charged by the connection so it quickly mounted up. [msncry]
I would suggest you 1) check the tarrif & 2) check how often it polls for information from the internet vs cost.
As with any PDA or Smartphone that uses a Mobile type sim card, you will need to have the account activated for use in the USA.
Has Jolliffee says, check your tarrif with your network provider.
They usually charge differently by mobile.
Mine charges per Zone crossed then charges per minute at some ridiculous rate.
Take your laptop or use a cyber/internet cafe!
