    Christmas Preparations

Just returned from Florida on Wednesday and couldn't believe that I could be feeling so relaxed with only 2 weeks to go before Christmas. Yesterday Sat and wrapped all the gifts that we bought while we were away, normally doing this Christmas Eve/ Christmas Morning. Today went out and picked a freshly cut tree from the nusery ( always have a real tree). Husband spent all day putting lights up outside the house, girls spent all afternoon decorating tree, sat down had dinner really starting to feel in the Christmas mood. Family sat watching S.W.A.T. while I catch up with all the lastest on here, suddenly film reaches a tense moment when I hear my husband shout ( can't repeat what he said) run through to the lounge to see the 8ft x 4ft tree sprawled across the floor. We haven't stopped laughing yet, any other time I would of gone bollistic as everything was looking just perfect. Lucky it didn't fall during the night otherwise all the alarms would have been triggered, might not of been so happy then. Thought if anyone has just had a bad day our misfortune might bring smile to your face, (teach me to go for a big tree). My girls said I should take a break in Florida every year at this time as they never seen me so chilled!

Bernie, sounds like you have cracked it this year then[xmas1]I on the other hand, have not been to Florida since April and we have been putting decorations up since last week, boxes everywhere[msneek]Place looks more of a mess this year than other years, the tree needs replacing, it is past its best, what I have managed to buy needs wrapping, and I am struggling to buy for even my close family as I just don't know what they want[msnsad]I have never wanted to do the sunshine trip in December at all, but this year, I am READY!!![msncool]

I'll join you CarolAnn, could really use a trip to Florida right now.

Bernie, sounds like we should all indulge in a pre-chrismas trip to the sunshine state to chill us all out. Your story did raise a smile as I imagined the tree spralled across the room, luckily with no one underneath it.[msnsmile2]

We're off to Florida tomorrow and have not even had chance to put a tree or any decorations up in the UK at all. We've a busy day today with getting last minute things together to take over to the villas so will probably not get the chance. Luckily we have a tree at the villa and lots of decorations so will do it all there and when we come home we do not have one to clear away too [msnsmile2]

Like you Carol I have spent the last few days putting the tree up in the living room - that room now looks great it is just the rest of the house looks like a bomb has hit it with empty boxes everywhere.
Guess what I will be doing before the lovely cleaning lady comes tomorrow[msnsmile2]

    Twins are hard work!!
Create twice as much mess and takes twice as long to sort them out!!

Still, I wouldn't swap them for the world!

They are at the moment, opening their daily post (Junk Mail)
    Keeps them happy for ages!!

We've just rustled up some Christmas Tree putter-upper's. The childrens Grandparents are coming over this afternoon and have volunteered to help out so I'm off out to buy a tree now [msnsmile2]
