    I would have thought a desktop would be better for the villa if it is to be used by guests, but if only for personal use, then yes, I would go for the laptop every time. [msncool]

    I would definatley go for a desktop for the villa, one spillage on the key board can be replaced for around $5 for a new keyboard, where on a lap top it could be quite costly.

    Remember you will have to declare your US laptop to UK customs on the way home, but even with the duty they will charge you it's likely to be a huge saving on some UK prices (although there are some VERY good deals around in the UK for laptops at the moment).
