    Virgin Check in

I have heard that it is possible to check-in luggage the night before flying to FL. I`m staying at the Gatwick Hilton.
    Can anyone confirm.

    Sputnick,

I think that twilight check-in is open from 3.30 until 9.00 where you will be able to check your luggage through and get your boarding passes.

If you intend to do this then you must ensure that all members of your party travelling are also there to check-in.

Or, as KJH has mentioned you can check-in online 24hrs before, and then just go to the fast-bag drop at check-in the following morning.

I would suggest if you are staying at the Hilton that you opt for twilight

I was speaking to Virgin this morning and the twilight check in starts at mid day till 9-00pm.
Also you can get Virgin air miles when you stay at the Hilton.

We use Twilight Check In from Gatwick whenever we travel and it has always been a 2.30pm opening time. Might be worth checking with them again, as you have got various opening times here (not casting doubt on what anyone has been told and posted here) but it does seem strange. Maybe it has an earlier opening because of the increase in Christmas travellers. Anyhoo, just didn't want you arriving early and having to hang around, as the car parks are quite expensive for Short Stay.

We used the twilight check in on WednesdayThere was a long queue though and the check in staff were very grumpy. We were told Mum and Dad would be close to us as they could not seat us all together but in fact they were not even in view

We found out on our recent trip that you can't do twilight check-in if you have any special needs. My partner is disabled and we'd contacted Virgin with our requests prior to travel so had to present ourselves at check-in as normal.
