It's the annual meetup of the EAA (experimental airplace association) at Lakeland Airport about half way between Orlando and Tampa. Usually held at the begining of APril for 3-4 days.

Anyone can go - you can go by car and do not have to fly in. The benefit of being a qualified pilot is you get reduced admission and an airside pass which the general public do not. All you have to do is show them your licence!

We went with Mark & Emma Harris (OV villa ref 4 and friends of ours) in April this year and had a great day out. Where else can you see a stealth bomber in the circuit (traffic pattern) with microlights at the same time!!!

Just been leafing through a pilot magazine and found that the dates for Sun'n'Funfor 2003 are 2-8 April at Lakeland Linder Airport. The website is:

John claims that he had forgotten that it was S'n'N when he book our tickets to go to Florida agian. What a lucky coincidence!!!!

Will do Emma - hopefully I won't get as burnt as I did when we all went last year!

I've remembered to pack my pilots licence so I can get airside at Sun N Fun as it's much more interesting

Make sure you don't go the day after you arrive like we did, it killed us, have a rest first!!
I wish we was coming with you to orlando again, it would be nice to catch up. Maybe next time!!
