Ok, I'm ready for the flak! Bring it on!
You all come to the USA for a break. A break in a foreign land. Can't you live for ten days without marmite or pickles or OXO or typhoo?
The USA is a modern country with a huge mix of cultures and different foods. Try some of it! Go to Chilis and have the ribs. Go to Ruth Chris's and have the best steak on the planet. Your marmite will be there when you return! If I remember it has a shelf life of around 75 years!
A million housewives every day, pick up a tin of beans and say "...... ..... .....!"

We take Marmite so the children will eat toast as the bread is "different". We take T bags as my husband gets indigestion with caffeine and it is safer to take our usual brand of decafWe are all for trying different foods but Florida is not the easiet place for veggies (none of our family would eat ribs or a steak), although I think it is improving

Teabags are a must, Just wish I could smuggle in bread. Cuban bread is more like the UK and I have english muffins or crumpets instead of bread. Keiser rolls from Publix or Walmart are most like the english.
Anything else I don't mind.

I am flying tomorrow and have just packed my tea bags. Not sure what you put in your tea bags but it does not taste like tea!
Marmite I hate so will not be bringing with me but will buy my son a jar to test next time he is in the water with his favourite fishy friends (see shark thread)
[laugh][laugh] We are a funny lot as Brits!!!
According to one of the threads on mossie bites, marmite is really good at preventing that too so has many plus points. Personally I am one of the "hate it" ones, as the ad says you either love it or you hate it. We do have to take our own T-bags with us as couldn't live without a good cup of tea, ite essential.[msnwink]![]()
