We were offered while on the plane (but before it was in the air) nearly everyone wanted it so didn't get that one.[msncry]

We did this with United twice and would always offer again - got to stay in a 5 star hotel, all expenses paid, flight upgrade and free flights next time we travelled - couldn't go wrong

A few years back we were going skiing in Colarado. We had to change flights at Detroit, we were late getting to check in because of incoming flight and were told to wait. We were later told that they were offering people on the flight $500 dollars to get off (no one took it), they then included overnight stay and dinner and they had a few volunteers. Just wished they'd offered it to us before they gave us seats on the flight, there were 3 of us it would have more than paid for our flights. There's always the next time.
