    Hello everyone

    Hi There,

My name is Tom and I live in Holywell , North Wales.

I have been reading the forums for a couple of months now and have found the info of great help.

I hit onto the site after booking my next Florida trip in January 2005. We are staying in a villa in Indian Creek which I understand is a fairly new development close to Disney ( any info would be great )

I contacted lots of individual villa owners for details and in the end was spoilt for choice. In the end I booked a complete package with .....wait for it.........Travel City Direct !!!

my main reason for doing this was twofold, 1. We couldn't as a family decide which villa to go for !! 2. I wanted to try TCD's Sunshine First cabin. I agree with a lot of comments on this site that Travel City's pricing policy is a little weird and certain parts of your holiday are quite expensive ie Car Hire, Villa hire.
But when you take into account the flight prices it evens out a lot.

Only time will tell whether the Sunshine First is worth the extra money and I will report back in February on our return.

Stayed at the Homewood Suites on our last visit so we are all looking forward to the extra space of a 4 bed villa.

look forward to any replies good or bad.

    Bye for now

    Tom

We've stayed at Indian Creek and it is extremely convenient for Disney especially if you go up Sherberth Road (1st left after Black Angus Steakhouse on your right on 192). This takes you straight into Animal Kingdom's carpark less than 10 minutes. You're minutes away from 192 with its restaurants and shops. Great Location and enjoy your stay oh and by the way welcome to the forum[xmas1]

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum. We're holidaying in Florida in January too - we fly out from Manchester on the 6th, and are staying in a villa at Cumbrian Lakes. When do you go?

Welcome Tom, we have a villa in the community just across from Indian Creek so I can assure you it is in an excellent location for getting to the parks and there are plenty of restaurants near. About 1 mile from the community is the Formosa Gardens Shopping Plaza which has Outback, Giordanos, Carrabbas restaurants, a Red Lobster just opposite plus a supermarket which is fine for quick essentials, but a Publix which is more reasonably priced is a couple of miles up the road. If your plane gets you in late there is a 24hr Walgreens so you can pick up groceries on the way in without any problems.

As Linda & Drew said use the Sherberth Road to access Disney and you go straight on to the Osceola Parkway there and can get on the I4 so getting to Universal and Sea World is quick as well. Nice thing about being near Disney is if you want to you can get up early hit the park first thing, come back to the villa for lunch and a swim, and go back for the early evening. Very good way of stretching things out and not too exhausting for the children. We found a whole day used to make everyone a bit fractious!!

We'll wait to hear your thoughts about the villa - first time we went into a villa in the US we were flabbergasted - the size, all the facilities - really puts the WOW into wow factor![msnsmile2]
