Thanks Liesa, have just had the first bout of chemo on Monday and been absolutely and utterly tom and dick since then. I think I am beginning to see the end of it, just got the permanent queasy feeling now, but better than what I have been![msnsad] So much for the oncologist telling me I would be fine and it would hit me after 4/5 days[V]. I can't pretend I have been wondering how I am going to cope with another 4 - 5 sessions of this if it[msncry], although hopefully by then I will have recovered more from the mastectomy and therefore not so weak, and not so reliant on painkillers that I now can't keep down.

Tomorrow we are meant to be taking all the head office staff out for a chinese in Maidenhead, and next week the Bristol lot out down there. Somehow I think Chris will be doing this without me which is a shame as one of our Bristol staff is retiring after working for us for 16 years, so we wanted him to have a good send off and make them feel we had made the effort. Plus I wanted to go and see the new premises down there as Chris has had to do all that since I have been ill. Mind is willing, just not sure about the body - but what a way to lose weight!![msnwink]

Hi Fiona - my friend's experience of chemo was much the same as you sound. She did feel extremley sick and tired after treatment - but after the first 6/7 days she was fine. Also the more sessions she had the periods of feeling awful did get shorter. Here's hoping it does for you too [grouphug]

    Take care

Fiona, I hope you are feeling much better soon. Glad to see your sense of humour is still intact.

I hope you get some respite from the nausea to enjoy Christmas with your loved ones.
