Not the usual pics you would expect for Las Vegas.
It snowed so much up in the mountains earlier in the week that people have been driving over from California to ski and snowboard in the fresh powder.
Some more typical Las Vegas photos coming soon ...
Stunning shots... the only skyline I have from my office window is my neighbours washing and grey clouds [msncry]

Liesa
Brilliant photos Steve, we have been to Vegas several times but never to Mount Charleston. Another one for the list of places to visit.![]()
It's a tough job Liesa, but someone's got to do it. [msnsmile2]
Can you spot the mistake on the first pic. It's kind of a technical thing but it's there all right if you look closely.
Liz - Mt Charleston is a lovely place for a half day or day when you are back in Las Vegas. It's only about a 30 to 40 minute drive depending on the traffic. It can be something like 30 degrees cooler up on the mountain than it is in the town so it makes a welcome break from the heat if you are here in the summer. There are a bunch of really nice trails too ranging anywhere from a half hours walk to a full day's hike. It isn't normally under 3 feet of snow either - although they do get quite a bit of snow over winter. Not many people would think of going to Las Vegas in the winter to do a bit of skiing!!
Steve like you we love the national parks and next year we are returning to Yosemite for a longer stay. We are also going to take in 3 nights in Kings Canyon and Sequoia, have you been there? If so any recommendations?
