Thread: Belz shopping

  1. #21
Belz has gone down hill each time I have visited and this time no exception, I won't be going again, all the good shops, barring Gap have moved out to the newer Mall, but Gap have a new store at Buena Vista so I have no excuss for going.

My personal favourite however is the Florida Mall, not as cheap as some, but Quality.

Belz isn't as good as it used to be.
The Belz designer outlet outdoor mall further down Internatioanl Drive still has Saks Off 5th Avenue and there are bargains to be had in there if you are prepared to look.

Chelsea Premium Outlet mall at Little Lake Bryan is better, but i thought that wasn't as good in 2004 as it had been in 2002 and also when it first opened in 2000.

A good outlet mall to try is Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores on the 535 close to Indian Wells. Very good Osh Kosh, Nine West, Gap and Sunglass Hut stores there.

Mall at Millenia is good, but not for Bargains!! except for the 11% tourist discount cards at Macys and Bloomingdales (also at florida mall). Mall at Millenia is very busy on saturdays, just like shopping centres in the UK.

We too have seen Blez going steadily downhill for the past few years. When we first went to Florida many years ago it was brill. We still make a trip to Belz-2 for the character wharehouse shop.

Florida Mall is on the junction of Sand Lake Road and Orange Blossom Trail. About 3 miles west of Orlando Airport.

If you are only going to make one trip then go to Premium, Florida Mall, Millenia or Buena Vista (love Old Navy at Buena Vista).

If you have time though I would still recommend an hour or two at Belz as well. The Osh Kosh there has most goods at 50-70% off for example.

There are actually TWO Belzes, the Belz Factory Outlet Mall & the Belz Designer Outlet Centre. To confuse matters even furthe, the buildings are scattered rather haphazardly along I-drive.

Although I also prefer the Premium Outlets to Belz, you can easily spend a day in the Belz complex if you have time. One way is to allocate a whole day there and go without any plan and just browse around. You're bound to find many things of good value. We bought lots of luggage stuff, footwear, casual clothes etc there.

I agree we don't like Belz either. Apart from it being a pain to get to it is spread out too far. Like most people have said, much prefer OPO.
