new years day

i've been looking through the threads people have set up for things to do on new years day and it seems that no one has any suggestions, only for new years eve. so does any one know if the malls are open or not so we can go spend any money left over as we leave on the 4th.

New Years day is for shopping really. We noticed last year, 2003 to 2004 that the sales was reduced to 70% on New Years Day.
You can always go to the Parks, but I think New Years day is one of the busiest days. Have a good trip.

My husband and son also went shopping on New Years day when we went. The men actually bought more things than the women. All the mens designer clothes and trainers from Nike and Addidas to Ralph Lauren were so cheap, you just have to buy them. We bought some Ralph Lauren trainers, reduced from $120 to £30 dollars. When we went back about 4 days later, the prices had gone back to $120.

Either shop, or sightseeing. There are few places you can visit without spending any money. The Mercado off the International Drive is my favourite, just walking around.
