There is a thread running at the moment regarding My Travel - in short most people seem to say thay are ok - but that you get what you pay for.

Strangely enough though with mytravel you can get more than you paid for, they ask for £15 per person for in flight meals but if you dont pay it you still get the food [msnwink][msnwink]

Sometimes the difference between Mytravel and Thomson are the planes themselves.
Instead of Jumbo jets who can get a DC10 depending on where you travel from.
    DC10's are absolutley [sick][sick]
If you can check with the airline first I would suggest you ask. Although if the price is CHEAP

I would personally go with Thomsons,we have flown with them several times and they have been fine and as far as you can tell their business seems to be on a sure footing

I have flown with Thomsons to Orlando and Cuba, the aircraft were very cramped and would prefer to fly scheduled flights, but the Orlando one was my first to USA so I was a rookie. Now I always fly with Virgin if possible.

yes you do get what you pay but i dont mind a cheap flight but just wondered which was the best between the 2. we flew thomson to the dominion earlier in the year and it was cramped and have flown with my travel and thomson to florida before but i am just wondering which one to go with.

is everyone certain that if i dont pay for the meals with my travel i will get them still. i know the meals are not very nice but a hot meal smell does get your taste buds going and i would hate to sit without a meal cos i hadnt paid for one.

Since they brought in the payment for meals-I have never paid for them and have always received one. That doesn't mean that I will always be as lucky.

You could always take a flask of soup!

I honestly cannot say that I have found any difference between Thomson and My Travel.

I've nearly always travelled from Newcastle.

We flew to Sanford with Mytravel in June, and with Thomson in October. We found the seats themselves much more comfortable with Thomson but the legroom was much the same. We also thought the food was far better with Thomson, especially the breakfast on the way back, which was the nicest breakfast we have had on any airline, chartered or scheduled.
