    Stitch Escapes

So Steve(harrison) gets to go to beer festivals and I get Disney, hmm

Entering the park today all the cast members were saying that Stitch had escaped and been up to mischief...

As for the ride itself, well you have to do it but I was hugely underwhelmed. I personally would not wait for this ride and only do it if it was a walk on in future.

It's like the old alien encounter.

Pre-show is alright which builds it up OK but then the main event is a bit, well, lame.

You sit around a tube into which Stitch is transported, Stitch escapes, lights go off, some unconvincing 'Stitch-is-behind-you' effects occur, a few laser cannons spray a little water around and then it ends.

Briz, I wouldn't exactly call old Alien as 'lame' but admit that they could have made it a bit more scary. There could have been a few screams, people being eaten etc, but I suppose Disney is too wimpy to do such things.

I meant *Stitch* is lame, I really liked the old Alien Encounter and it's a shame that they have kind of wasted the space (in my opinion of course).
Going through the Great Movie Ride yesterday and they mentioned Nostromo and I thought of you

Heading off back up the I4 to MGM for the evening and maybe Fantastmic if the kids are not too tired.

    Sleep tight England.

I must admit, having returned to the UK yesterday (did you miss me ? ) that we too were completely underwhelmed and disappointed by the "new" Stitch attraction.

They have basically taken what was a moderately scary and fun attraction and watered it down so much that like Briz says, it is now no longer worth the wait time.

Compared to the original concept, the whole thing looked cheap and thrown together. Very sad

Well, the beer festival was good but that pic of the castle after Stitch has 'toilet rolled' it is a once in a lifetime kind of thing.
