how easy is it to get married in florida

Most notary public's can marry you in Florida, My wife has done quite a few from the beach to actually in a pool..even in the restaurant at the wedding dinner .. in fact anywhere can be done.
You get the licence from the county building its $88.50 cash only.

Our friends got married in the Keys in August, inbetween two hurricanes!! They had no hassle at all. We looked into it a few years back but they wanted blood tests, a certain amout of time in the State etc etc, so we went to Las Vegas instead. However all that has changed.

I got married in Florida 3 years ago. It was fab, we booked with this site www.orlandoweddinglocations.com We picked Leu Gardens for our ceremony.

You put together your elements of the day (ie a limo, flowers, music etc) so it can cost as little or as much as you like.

Thanks Fletch-it was just idyllic.

There was no stress or hassle-unlike my wedding. I was so keyed up by the time I got to church-I barely remember any of it.

Costs were kept to a minimum-so again no stress over costs spiralling out of control.

And the weather was just fantastic-so we got some beautiful photos.

I would definitely recommend getting married in Florida.

For those with a big family-you can always have a blessing ceremony once you are home.

we are getting married in orlando in february, it's been very easy to organise it even though i have to do everything by e-mail!!!

It's a shame you can't make it a complete surprise as you both have to apply in person for the license but at least you can have the majority of it in place before you spill the beans. And we'll all do all we can to help prepare for the big day without your fiancees knowledge. We're all a load of softies in case you hadnt realised yet.
