Xmas Day and New Years Eve

Assuming our friend gets his visa in time, any suggestions for a fun Xmas Day (food and activities) and also a really fun New Years Eve in the Orlando area, or if you know of anywhere outside which needs a bit of travelling, but worth it for the experience? Bear in mind my two almost grown up children who could do their own thing, bunch of early to mid 30 something adults who want fun on New Years eve?

Christams Day would be a definate Magic Kingdom day for us!!

New Years eve would be different!!

Would love to sit on the beach, a few drinks and a BBQ with Friends, watching the world go by and see the fireworks in the sky!!

That would be super........ what more could you ask for??

as we had no little ones we had a xmas day at the Renaissance champagne brunch-well recommended-about $48 for a feast.

It was a wet rainy day-so we had planned to see the first lord of the rings movie at Celebration cinema. We felt we had a perfect day.

The day before we spent at AK in T shirts and shorts.

New Year's eve we went for a meal and then hotfooted it to hotel boardwalk where we could see both MGM and Epcot fireworks from the bridge on the lake. That was a chilly night-so again we were pleased that we weren't outdoors all day.

The next day we drove to Sarasota and spent New Year's day on the beach in 80 degree heat!

That's the beauty of Florida -there's something to suit everyone and all weathers.

It does sound like the perfect Christmas and New Year.

Just wish the Shuttle would launch on N E Eve, now that would be something to brag about, BBQ and the shuttle launch all from the beach!!

I would go to Cafe Tu Tu Tango on International Drive near Bahamas Breeze - fun, lively, good wine, entertainment and food

brings a smile to your face (a bit loud later but part of the ambience)

It's at the Renaissance Hotel next to Sea World - highly recommended. We are there for Christmas Day and can't wait [msnwink]
