I have never been a huge fan of oriental food in Florida with the exception of Ming Court on I Drive. Most of it seems to be buffets with everything covered in sugary red sauce and stewed wheras oriental food should be freshly cooked and crispy. Hence I am delighted to have found the Mekong, a Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese restaurant ( yes all three) just opened in JJ Plaza on 192 west near the junction with 27 ( opposite side to Publix). They do a sit down a la carte meal with everything freshly cooked and also a take away menu and delivery service within 6 miles ( Celebration is too far I fear). Plain decor with the exception of a huge cup of tea with steam coming out of it on the wall ( very Disney but it doent talk!!) but excellent food with huge portions. Entrees $8-11. The men had the local beer and pronounced it to be good. We had a selsction of appetisers and entrees to share, fried rice and beers for $100 for four including tip.
