Anyone travelled with MYtravel??

Just about to book flights!! Virgin all sold out but have been offered seats with Mytravel. Never heard of them!! Has anyone any experience?? Ta

My travel are the people that used to be Going Places. I saw their plane at Sanford when I came home a couple of weks ago, probably similar to most of the charter flights i.e. have to pay for food and drink and low baggage allowance. We flew charter with thompson and you couldn't complain as much cheaper than Virgin or BA

I flew with my travel in July to Orlando and flying with them again to Orlando at christmas, so cant be that bad.[msnsmile2]

Travelled with Mytravel a couple of years ago into Sanford - was a good flight and no probs whatsoever - service just a good as any other airline I've travelled with recently.

We used them in April from Newcastle, 757-200 extremely cramped 29 or 30" seat pitch, if you're flying from Manchester you'll most likeley get an Airbus of some type instead so better seating

Hi Molly,we often fly with My Travel although we always upgrade because the seating is very cramped on the Manchester flights too.We have never encountered any problems.My Travel was formaly known as Airtours.

I flew with mytravel ( airtours) in July, no problems at all, deat pitch fairly standard similar to Virgin in fact.

When we've used My Travel(airtours) in the past from Newcastle-we've usually had no problems-but only booked a week before this time and had to go from Manchester.

We had a 5 hour delay going out-and a 2 and a half hour delay coming back. Not amused-as I had to drive at either end-and I can't sleep on planes.

We refrained from paying for our food -but still received it anyway. Glad we took our own-as it was pretty bad.

Having said all of that-they got us there and back safely-and that's what counts.

my family have used mytravel/airtours alot from Manchester. If you are flexable with your dates and go off season ie when the kids are at school you can usually get some great deals. However these are usually last minute offers, so not guarenteed.
