Today we went shopping. First place we went to was the Mall of Millennia you can get to it a few ways either on the I-4 and come off at the exit for Conroy Road as we did or you can come off I-Drive near Prime one outlets (Beltz) on to Oakridge Road over the flyover and then take your first left and follow the road into the Mall. This is a fantastic Mall with some exclusive shops including Gucci, Cartier and Tiffany & Co. don’t think we will be shopping in any of those though. They have a Macy’s and that is where we went first. We went up to Gift wrap on the top floor and got our Tourist Discount cards. If you are visiting from outside the US you can get these cards and they give you a further 11% off of your purchases. Even if it has already been reduced and is in a section where it tells you to take off an additional 30% you still get another 11%. We had a look around and Dawnie bought a DKNY zip up jumper type thingy. Dawn bought a couple of things and I bought some Nautica shirts. After Macy’s we went to the food court and had a coffee from Starbucks and I had a piece of the iced lemon cake with it. It is always so moist. Never had cake like it in this country. I just think it goes down so well with a double shot latté.[msnwink] We had a stroll round the rest of the shops before heading to Goldsmiths, A great golf store just along from Super Target over the road. Jay had been itching to get in there as he was looking to buy a new driver. They had a practice area where you could try out different clubs. It was very good, it was a computer that measured your swing and distance of your shot. It shows you if you are slicing the ball. He was interested in a Ping G5 but also tried a Taylor Made RX7, I think. The staff was pretty helpful and suggested he goes to a driving range and tries a demo club there and see how he got on with it. So we said we would. Out of Golfsmiths we went into Marshalls just next door. For those that haven’t been in there before, they sell a lot of name brand designer clothes at a really good price. The only thing is you have to wade through a lot of “chaff to get to the wheat” There are rails and rails of clothing to go through. You can get some very good bargains though. The do sell stuff other than clothing too. I bought a camera tripod for $15. We went to Linen ‘n’ things to see if we could find any nice bedding for the villa, couldn’t find anything there. We decided we would go to Bed, Bath & Beyond and see what they had. So we went to the one on I-Drive and found some lovely ones there. The only thing was they never had a King size in the one that we liked so she rang a store on Sand Lake road, just past the Florida Mall, to see if they had it. They did so off we went and got that. I had bought a new feather king pillow too. We called at Wal*Mart and bought some more bits for the villa. Some plants, pictures and few extra bits and bobs to make it more homely. On the news that night they said we would be getting some of the effects of Wilma but not too bad.
Next we went to Sea World. We thought we would keep an eye on the weather and would head home if it started to get bad. The day was very hot and humid. Jay and Dawn went on Kraken. They even said that on one of the loops it felt like their eyes were closing of their own free will! We went to the Dolphin show, this was the first time we had seen the new show. I’m not sure I liked it as much as the previous one. It was good but for me I would have liked to see more dolphin stuff and less of the human performers. This is a first! We managed to get Dawn to ride Journey to Atlantis. Now, she has been on Splash Mountain and Ripsaw falls and likes them both but she has always had a bad feeling about this one. I told her there is nothing to worry about, if she liked the others this will be ok.[msnwink][msncool] Wrong! She hated it….. She was petrified all the way around it… cursing me out for bringing her on it… God knows what the Japanese couple thought sitting behind us![msnembarrased] She didn’t mind the little rollercoaster bit at the end
