At my father's funeral, which was well attended by people from outside the local areas, one of our family friends, who lived in the town, realised that he was about to run out of fuel. Knowing the way to the cemetry he headed off from the procession to a nearby garage, only to realise that three people had followed him. He filled up his car and the followers each put in about £5, tried to look like that was what they had wanted to do and waited for him to drive off so that they could follow him again. My Dad would have loved that.
When we were in Vegas we saw a brilliant road-side add for a funeral directors. It said "Please drive carefully, we want your business ... just not yet".
One of the funeral director's hearses in Inverness has a perhaps innapropriate personal number plate that I only just saw the other week. I can't remember 100% tonight, but I think it was A 5 HES!!!
