"On the subject of post offices, the one near Winn-Dixie on the US27 even has a drive-by postbox.
The height of luxury, not having to get out of your car to deposit your mail! "

Not quite the height of luxury Tony, if like us at Hampton Lakes you are lucky enough to have mailboxes then you can put your stamped mail into the mail box, lift the red flag and when then mailman comes to make their next delivery they pick up all the mail from the boxes, so we cand post them without even getting into the car, just walk out the front yard.

Incidentally someone commented somewhere else recently about the irony of our postal names.
The US is called the US Postal Service but they have mailmen
Whereas the UK has The Royal Mail but we have postmen, do we know how to confuse or what?

I've done the same with the labels for a few years now as I use them for Christmas cards so its easier to print them from my pc address book. Saves trying to remember postcodes or carry address book.

All supermarkets over here sell stamps at the checkout. So when you are having your stuff bagged, ask for a book of stamps. A book contains, I think, ten 1st class stamps.

    Have a great vacation.

    Tina,
Winn-Dixie is a Supermarket along the lines of Publix.
The one I referred to is about a mile north of the junction of the I192.

I think some of the isolated mail-boxes have been removed due to security issues. My wife found this to be the case in New York on a recent visit. Finding stamps to post cards home is rather more awkward these days in the US, and orlando is no exception. [V][V]

We have been able to buy stamps in hotels, when we haven't been near a supermarket or post office. They will also have a post box normally.
