Sending Postcards

Hi

This year as we are going for 3 weeks I will finally send some postcards home to family. I have always used the excuse that I will be home before they get the postcards.
Can you tell me where I can buy stamps, are they available in the supermarkets like the UK and how much does it cost to send it back to the UK.
Does DisneyWorld have they own postmark if I sent it from Magic Kingdom because that would just finish the message off.

If you send it from the Wonderful World of Memories shop in Downtown Disney you get a Tinkerbell postmark. I think that's the only place you can get them.

Walmart along the 192 has a machine inside and a postbox outside. It tells you what stamp you need for overseas. It took me ages to find a postbox i kept on getting them confused with the daily newspaper machines!!!!!! Doh Plus I thought that they were yellow but they were greeny/brown

There is a post office just up the road from you Tina -the other side of the 192/27 junction on the right hand side .From memory the cost is about 70c

There are stamp machines in the foyers of the US post offices, all singing all dancing services provided to without having to see anyone and queue up for ages, amazing service. We tend to buy a few extra and hope the postage does not go up before the next trip!!!!!!!!!!!Sounds cute having a tinkerbell postmark[^]

I asked in Winn Dixie but they said they only do stamps for America - so we had to find a post office. This we did whilst on Captiva which seemed to be the only building standing between hurricane battered palm trees! The lady was very nice - think the stamps cost 85 cents but we just stamped the cards and handed them to her. However, only some have reached their destination and as usual the one for my work colleagues has still not surfaced! Think they took about a week the ones that did arrive. So good luck - I usually intend to send cards but often leave it too late! [msnwink]

I am going for 4 weeks over xmas,so no excuse for me. I really like the sound of the Tinkerbell postmark, my little niece will love that.

A friend of mine prints A4 sheets of labels with names & addresses to stick on postcards.
It's not only quicker, but reminds him of who he should write to, and saves him remembering the address!

On the subject of post offices, the one near Winn-Dixie on the US27 even has a drive-by postbox.
The height of luxury, not having to get out of your car to deposit your mail!
