    visa in passport

Hi dont know if anyone can help me but my dad was just looking through his old passports (for some weird reason) and noticed that in his one from 1973 he has a stamp saying:

    643416
    B1, B2 Visa
    Valid indefinatly
for Bearer and Dependants on passport

On the passport are my 3 brothers and was wondering if this could still be valid now as my youngest brother stayed in USA over the 3 month period 12 years ago and has been to Orlando and other states many times but got pulled by Immagration 3 weeks ago and told he needs B1 B2 visa to visit again.

Do you think that if my dad takes this with us it would mean that my brother wouldnt have to have an interview at the Embassy before our Christmas trip. It would be great if he didnt as we are worried about the time as only 8 weeks until we go and his interview is on the 9th of November.

Any help would be much apprieciated.

    (Sorry its a long one)[msnscared]

Unfortunately, visas from more than 10 years ago are no longer valid and are now issued on a ten year basis only.

If your brother has an interview at the American Embassy on 09 November, then it only takes a few weeks to get his passport returned so it should be in plenty of time for him to travel.

I also have a b1/b2 unlimited visa from way back. [zzz][zzz]. I was told sometime in the early 90's that i wouldn't be able to use it for much longer, so my works went and got me a new 10 year b1/b2 + c1/d1 visa's which are now about to run out

Is it not today, that the new visas are needed to enter the States?
