    Nappies!

Does anyone know if you can buy extra large nappies (16kg and upwards)
in Florida? (not pull-ups). I've only just seen them come into the shops here quite recently I think. If not, I'll have one suitcase full of nappies on the way out. I suppose that way I'd have an empty case for all the goodies I hope to bring home![clap][clap]

I thought that Liz so when we went I didn't take the bed sheets you can now buy here - I couldn't find them anywhere in Florida and believe me I looked in every supermarket I could find.

Fletch, I would definately suggest that if you definately need them to get through the holiday take them with you - besides you don't have to bring them back so that's extra room in your case for other shopping!

I bought some "Pampers" extra large last year from Publix supermarket when I ran out of the ones I'd brought from home!!!
My son was 2 years old at the time and needed them for nightime.

A friend of mine used to take her sons preferred brand with him on holiday - just packaged them well & put them in the hold as a separate piece of luggage. Dont know how economical that is though? Most things seem to be available over in the US that we have here but if its critical it may be better to at least take an initial supply until you find what you need?

Our baby is only 9 months so I don't know for sure about the extra large nappies, but when I was buying for him there was shelf upon shelf of nappies all makes and sizes, so I reckon you'll be able to get them in one of the big supermarkets or drug stores or Wal-Mart. One thing to look out for is that they do size them slightly differently, our son needed a size 3 in USA whereas he takes a 4 at home! I'm sure I saw extra large swimming nappies in Wal-Mart if you need those.

Thanks everyone. I'm fairly sure that they will be available but just wondered if anyone could tell me for sure. I'll take enough for the first few days and then take my chances.

    Yes they are all available!!

We took the twins in Oct/Nov last year and had to buy some!
Both Publix and Walmart stock large sizes.

BUT you would be advised to take them with you if you have the space!
You may find that they are more expensive than here!!

Something else that you might be interested in knowing, the travel size plastic pampers wipes cases have been discontinued in the UK you can only buy the large ones, but they are readily available in Wal-Mart and other stores. We had to bring some back for friends who have babies as well as a spare for us!
