    Can't figure out Orlando watch!

People, I have a very unsusal problem. My wife bought me a Guess Steel wrist watch with an Olive Green face from some store (which she can't remember) at Orlando Premium Outlet Mall. But the stupid woman threw away the original box deciding that it was too large, not realising that the instruction booklet was inside. Now I cannot set the time or date because it has a screwed-in crown that should not be pullet at, as per the sticker on the back of the watch. There is just a single crown and no other discernable means of operating the watch. I went into the Guess website, but this model is not listed now (it may have been superceded). I have sent them an e-mail, but if any of you bought a similar watch in Orlando, please tell me how to set the time & dtae without breaking it! (the crown definitely cannot be pulled and I canot twist it easily either. I am scared to pu too much pressure)

Does it not un-screw and it is just a little tight? May be worth calling in to a small independant jeweller and asking their opinion, offering to pay for their services before making the enquiry.

Could this be why it's called a Guess? As in guess the time?

A UK store that sells this make is almost certainly likely to know I would have thought?

Thanks Phaedra, but no. I have been to that link already. My watch has the closest resemblance to the THIRD one on that list, except that mine has only the date & not the day. And unlike that watch, the crown on mine cannot be pulled.

The crown might unscrew but I don't want to try too hard. As you guys say, I'll take it to a local jeweller and try.

    Thanks for helping.

I love the watches from Guess? Got 2 myself and my wife 4 or something

Probably you first have to unscrew it and then pull it a little bit. What model is it, do you have a pic. of it?

Thanks Jolliffee. I'll have a go when I get home, but won't exert too much force. If I cannot do it, I'll take it to a jeweller and close my eyes when he's trying.[msnscared]

I love Guess watches, my friend and i bought 2 in the memorial weekend sale then added to our collection the year after. Mind you that was after Lynne's got accidentally run over and had to go to that watch graveyard in the sky. No doubt we'll be hunting out any more bargains to be had in December!1
