    Local donut shops

Are there any local donut shops/bakeries near Lindfields? I don't mean Dunkin Donut (though I will be find one of them for the coffee) but just a local shop, that we can stop in for a quick breakfast?

There is no other donut shop apart from Dunkin' Donuts! [:O] They are donut supremos!

Actually, there's a DD not far from Lindfields - turn right out of Lindfields onto the 192 and it's on the right side, near where Spendid China used to be. Get a whole box of them to take home with you and pig out! Half the store is a Baskin Robbins so they also do yummy ice cream and sodas too!

I used to work a DD. I have had a hard time eating the donuts since. I give you the coffe is good, but nothing beats a good local donut shop.

On the subject of Donuts: After visiting Orlando and eating Donuts in several places including Dunkin' Donuts, my donut-MAD brother-in-law swears that a particular variety tastes the best that he has ever eaten. Guess where these are sold? On a small street stall in the middle of Swindon's Brunel Shopping Complex at £1 for 5 Cinnamon donuts. As I said...a crazy guy.[V][V]

There is a fantastic new bakery on Highway 27, near the junction with the 192, at the entrance to Polo Park West, called the Grand Baguette Bakery. It is a proper bakery, with everything freshly baked on the premises, and lovely people who run it. They sell delicious pastries and savouries, plus bread. They also have a lovely place to eat in. Not sure if they do donuts, but they do breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch. The menu includes soup, quiches, tarts, omelettes and desserts.

Give it a try - its a bit of a 'find' in Orlando as there are few real bakeries, just the usual ones in Publix or Walmart.

Dam I was trying to keep this lovely local facility a secret! Now it’ll be full of tourists. Highly Recommended.[msnsmile2]
