    Car Rental

Going on from my previous posts regarding my flights...........(I promise you i'm not taking over from Tyson!)

We have been sitting here talking through what will happen when we land first at Orlando. i.e We will go and pick up the car and have it ready for our friends.

My question is my hubby will be driving and our friend will also be doing some driving, is he needed to be seen at the Car Rental Desk, or are we just able to hand over the driving licence[msnscared]

All drivers must sign the car rental agreement otherwise they will not be insured to drive the car.

    John,

Does it all have to be done on the same day?

Could my husband sign agreement on day 1, and then once we have picked up friends get the additional driver to sign next day?

I'm sure that would be ok. Roger will be able to say for definite as he co-ordinates all the car hire for us. I'll ask him to take a look at this thread and reply.

No problem with the drivers signing on different days. Note drivers are not insured until they have signed so don't be tempted to allow them to drive on the basis that they will be signing.

They can sign at any other depot, not necessarily the one where you initially collected the car, if that helps.

We have done that before now, Stuart has arrived ahead of me then collected me later at Tampa airport and then rather than queue at the desk with all the others picking up cars have gone into the Dollar office on the 192 the following day to add my name to the paperwork.
