According to the Federal Aviation Authority website MCO was closed at 1700hrs EDT yesterday(Sat 25 Sept) and is due to re-open at 1200hrs EDT Tomorrow (Monday 27 Sept)
However the arrivals board on the MCO website shows many flights arriving this afternoon.
Does anyone know the exact position?
airport is closed and will not re-open today sunday... according to news mid day monday is the first flight..
Just been speaking to a friend who's house in close by to MCO. He confirms that the airport is not due to open before midday, Monday.
Also, curfew still in place, when we spoke.

Our friends are scheduled to leave Man airport at 11.15 today following their cancelled flight on Saturday to Sanford.
I do wish them the very best but don't envy them arriving this afternoon whilst everything is the way it is.
They were originally heading to the Keys for 3 days, but now plan to go to their villa early in Naples - their owner said it was available - and assuming it was not affected, and they get through the roads/floods etc, they can start to enjoy their holiday.

On Friday Virgin brought a 747 into MCO to evacuate any Brits with tickets that wanted to get out.
I say Bravo Virgin.
