    Rubber Stamps/ Crafts

I have a passion for collecting rubber stamps-so just thought I would mention Stamp Cabana at Belz Outlet- which you all may have seen-but I think there is a better one on the OBT just before Florida Mall called Stamp your Art out. I think they carry a better range and are cheaper and they have lots of other little crafty things too-if that's what you are into.

I think Florida has a far better selection of craft things than you ever see over here!

someone after my own heart. My husband took one look at the walls of stamps in "Stamp your art out" (75,000 stamps) and resigned himself to sitting on the settee, watching the "how to" videos for at least a couple of hours. Next time he was more prepared with newspapers etc.

Another good place is Walmart, I can't get past the craft department without having a good browse to see whats new.

I agree Steph, the craft department is great. I always go back with loads of stuff including cotton, zips and lightweight cotton material at 98c a yard to make all my clothes for the next visit. I've been told there's a great craft shop here in Reading but I haven't checked it out yet - I'm afrais it will be a big disappointment

There's also Joann's fabrics on the 192-just pass the old part of Kissimmee.

There's everything in there too. It's a bit set back of the road-so keep your eyes peeled.

I've been trying to think of where Jo'Anns is, they also to "window treatments in a box" so all you have to do is purchase the fabric to complete your window treatments. What is the name of the shopping Mall near it, I keep thinking of Osceola square mall but I can't remember?

I was just looking back over all the shopping tips, (am planning my assault on the unsuspecting shopkeepers of Florida !!)and I came across this thread.

In a previous life (ie before we became obsessed with Florida home ownership!!) I ran a business selling rubber stamps and all the goodies that go along with them and also ran workshops teaching the techniques etc. I have an absolutely ridiculous amount of rubber stamps from dozens of different companies, and just love using them, not that I get much opportunity lately.

It's nice to know that there are other mad Florida obsessed rubber stampers out there <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> - I thought I was the only one <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

    Steph,

Joannes is near the Oseola Mall. I think that there is also a Kash N Karry in the same little area (can't think what you'd call it) as Joannes. If I rememebr correctly, it's somewhere in between the Oseola Mall and Home Depot.

My Big Sis (age not size) is visiting Orlando in April and is looking for Arts/Crafts/Hobby stores.
She is particularly interested in making her own greetings cards etc.
    Can anyone recommend suitable locations?
    Thanks a lot.
    Tony.

There is a great craft store on Internationsl Drive (Kirkman Rd) in the little line of shops behind Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant. It is called Michaels Craft Store. www.michaels.com You can get map of the store from the website and it really does have evrything you could imagine - and not very expensive either!
