I would say YES, it is very good. But it depends if it is the sort of thing you like. Boggy Creek Airboats are probably the best known of the several such ride/excursions in Central and South Florida. It is basically a high-powered speedboat that skims over the local marsh area at upto 50 Mph. If you go early in the morning, you stand a better chance of viewing the marsh wildlife, mostly reptilian and insectoid. You can get a bit dirty sometimes, so don't wear your best clothes. Insect repellant is advisible.

You can also book a NIGHT TOUR in Spring & Summer.

We loved it and went about midday. Only saw a tiny alligator but enjoyed the ride especially when we got very wet! Very noisy of course in spite of the ear muffs. I really wanted it to go on for longer. The site is quite nice with a quaint restaurant and shop. Enjoy[8D]

We enjoyed it. Spent our last morning there on the way to Orlando Int. Thought actual airboat ride much better than the one in the Everglades.

re the night trip Andrew - did you get bitten to death with the mossies? I quite fancied this but was warned off and told to cover up fron head to toe! Did you see any wild life at night

A few mossies around . A bit of spray kept them away.
The 15 foot alligator that swam under the boat was the highlight of the wild life [msnscared]

Wow - wish I had seen that. We spent all holiday watching the lake behind our villa for gators and all we saw were ripples - not a blooming gator in sight - but we could see the wake as they swam around the lake
