I'll carry my own bags onto the plane if I have to, but I am going to Florida on Saturday

Servisair/GlobeGround Potential Industrial Action - London Gatwick
Servisair/GlobeGround can confirm that it has been advised by The Transport and General Workers' Union, that following a ballot of its members at Gatwick Airport, industrial action is intended within its baggage, aircraft loading and cargo warehouse operations, for the following 24 hour periods:

    03:00 hours 25th September until 02:59 26th September 2004
    03:00 hours 30th September until 02:59 Ist October 2004

Servisair/GlobeGround is continuing discussions with the Union in order to reach a satisfactory resolution. Contingency plans are in place to minimise any potential disruption and customers are being informed of on-going developments.

Cargo clerical and passenger services at Gatwick, along with all other Servisair/GlobeGround operations remain unaffected.

well i go on the 25th with virgin but after reading this maybe i'll be all right?

Servisair is the second largest ground handler at Gatwick Airport, after British Airways.

The French-owned company serves scheduled airlines such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Delta and Continental, and charters such as Thomas Cook, Britannia, My Travel and Excell.

hope so as i've just seen hurricane jeanne seems to be turning back towards florida as well!!
