You get one hot 'meal' and a snack at teatime, or breakfast, but don't hold your breath - breakfast was a very small muffin and a tiny pot of fruit.

If you have children take some food with you like crisps, etc to supplement if they don't like what's on offer.

    Don't forget the ice cream!!![:P]

I think they've stopped the ice cream now..cut backs. We didn't get it on our last 2 Virgin flights, Boston and LA, maybe they still do it for Orlando because of the number of children.

We got them on the Man-Orlando in July and August![msnsmile2]

Why do you have to phone back Monday?

the message i got back from virgin was call there special assistance line,
which i will do on monday as i am/have been to busy 2nite, mind you i've been looking at the seat plans, and dont think i will gain alot as i am overweight anyway, so for the seats that give you more leg room seem to be (if i have read it right) slightly narrower in width........

    Hi Liesa

I hope you didn't think I was being rude, I just hoped that the Virgin staff hadn't tried to fob you off, by saying ring Monday.

If you don't mind me asking, what seat numbers were you looking at?

    kaz,
couldnt tell you without looking at seat plans, i looked last nite and found that the seats that we thought would be good were slightly narrower as other people have said as i and my husband weigh in at 17 stone each(not something to be proud of i know) have to weigh(parden the pun)up the option of being squashed or cramped!!!!i wrote on another thread about the last experiances we had on a virgin flight about the people in front of us putting their seats back it hit my bad knee and made my eyes fill up, i politely asked them to sit up as i was in pain, then the partner put his seat back so my 14 year old daughter had the TV screen in her face, she wears glasses as her sight is bad but wasnt at all comfortable at having the screen so close, well that caused an almighty uproar......(but i wont go into that now)
i dont know why we have decided to go to florida again as i am now getting so concerned about the length of time we will be sitting, we have seen people congregating near the exit doors, oh i just dont know what to do...............

have just looked at seat plans again, rows in economy
    22 HJK
    25 ABC
    25 HJK
    29/30 DEFG
    53 DEFG
    21 ABC
    anyone got any ideas???????????
    any advice appreciated

    Hi Liesa

    Rows 63,64,65,AC/HK
They are seats in two's the third seat has been taken out.

I don't know how many of you are flying but if you had AC or HK and sat in front or behind each other you will have a lot more room. First time we ever flew with Virgin we had these seats. Next to the loos but they were not a problem.

I'm 91/2 stone and other half is 20st ex rugby player, that's the reason we fly in pre. Econ upstairs so he can get his thighs in the seat. Only problem all three of our kinds are know classed as adults and it's getting expensive.

    Hope this helps

Has anyone had a go at the DIY Checkin that you can do on the VA site?
