Is this forum addictive or what?

I have not taken anything as a personal attack. I (like all the others on here that have posted) just do not understand why you are making a big thing out of this all and hi-jacking what was a nice thread so far.

I would comment that I respond a lot better to polite requests from people on here rather than out and out demands like you are making.

You will have read my comments about working on a chat area and will also be aware that it's not a high priority for us at the moment. If you choose not to be happy with that then so be it. There's not a lot else I am prepared to do about it at this moment in time.

Well if no one ever really uses it then perhaps the owners of this should close it down and redirect it to the greater majority so as we can all enjoy it and not just the privileged few that obviously by what you have just said, do not.

My attitude is one of discussion and in no way is meant as a personal attack on you and I apologise if you have taken it this way and that you have been offended by it in order to say what you have said.

I do however stand by my comments John and if this is cause for me to be reprimanded then so be it, but I do feel that we all have the right to voice our opinions good or bad, for or against the establishment.

it is very addictive, sometimes when i reply to something that some one has said, i hope for a response soon, maybe i shouldnt but i think we get carried away with it, i do think sometimes i am having a chat with "someone" and then remember i might have to wait an hour or more for an answer as they may have gone to another thread as i do wander off at times, as it is a very friendly informative site i would rather chat to anybody that would care to answer and sometimes make me laugh then sit at home on me own when kids are at school, keep up the good on this forum as i for one love it and you guys for making me happy (sorry for not being appy bout chat stuff earlier) just ad a yuk day!!..........

My prblem is that I LIKE TO SHAKE IT UP A BIT and I dont get emotional towards others who come back at me it's fun well it is for me anyway. As long as you are big enougth to say sorry if you do upset anyone and not hold grudges then to me its OK to get things a little steamy at times.

GOD what a s---t world this would be if we were always having to watch what we say or being told to do this or do that these are some of the reasons I left the UK (Start of another thread comming on?)

No this is a good site and I enjoy being here when I get the time but with running two businesses in America and living in Spain I don't get anywhere near the amount of time in here as I would like If I did I would prop be banned by now so best I keep my visits as and when.

As for never owning a home in Florida Liesa there are always ways and means you just have to find them,

I have been away for two days for a family get-together and coming back to this thread I only think that the emotion of your response, John Boy, answers the questions posed. I remember when I first started to log in to this forum (has it only been just 18+months?) I took a long time to view postings before joining in. At that time there was also a chat room available for all members (sorry if this sets the cat amongst the pigeons). However the chat room was seldomed used.

Throughout my time of using the forum and participating I have not found a more positive and supportive area for discussion on the internet (allbeit we have a common interest). When I first started posting Chrizzy100 also recommended another forum for Britisht Expats (we are considering emmigrating). I have lurked in other forums, including the British Expats forum, and I would be fearful to post - get ready to get flamed if you ask one thing wrong!

Equally we have had heated debates on this forum (and I have been involved in them).

I do not think it is a bad thing to have such a debate, although I think we all get a little more nervous about it on these forums because it happens more rarely.

I think it would be nice if some of the topics that have been discussed by villa owners would have been made general knowledge (Esprit do you still have the diaries of your move?), however I can respect that this forum is run as part of a commercial operation and therefore "membership has its privilidges". It would be a simple matter for an advertisers' forum to be set up as a different entity, but I don't feel that it is really necessary.

This forum has inspired me to set up Snitz Forums of my own (for our church for example). I would just love to know all the MOD's installed on this one!

Anyway, I don't think a ferverant discussion is a bad thing for the forums as it only prove the value of them, as long as we all respect each other's opinions. I think that this thread has been a wonderful example of this. Well done Lisi.
