Well if no one ever really uses it then perhaps the owners of this should close it down and redirect it to the greater majority so as we can all enjoy it and not just the privileged few that obviously by what you have just said, do not.

Its no biggie....the topics talked about would be of no interest to someone not renting.......there has always been an advertisers only part of the forum......a chat room for the same people is just one more part of that.....I can't see the problem......[?]

I personally do not like your attitude on this one. There is no right to use a chat room or anything else here. The chat room is a facility we offer our owners and I've already explained the reasons for it on the other thread you started about this subject so won't go into them again here.

We do plan on having a more public chat room when time permits to do the coding but it's not high up on my list of priorities as we have a LOT more pressing things to be doing in the meantime.

John Boy, I think this is getting a bit silly. John has already told you he is working on a public chat room. I don't understand why you are getting so worked up over this? What is it exactly that you feel you are missing out on?

As one of the "addicts" who uses the chat room, I can tell you when I have been in there, we have been chatting about such exciting things as grandkids, jobs, family and on one occasion the riveting topic of washing powder

John Boy will not see that part of the screen as it only appears if you have access to the Advertisers Area i.e. if you are a verified private owner that advertises with us.

Well I started this topic about the forum being addictive but now it seems to be getting totally out of hand. I don't feel the need to be part of a chat room which would have no interest for me - I am not a villa owner yet and unless I win the lottery not likely to be in the near future. But it is great to participate in this forum and have a bit of fun with it too - let's not get too uptight and just enjoy each other's company and postings and treat them for what they are worth. I have had a real laugh at some of your comments and also learned so much from you all.[B)][msnsmile]

My attitude is one of discussion and in no way is meant as a personal attack on you and I apologise if you have taken it this way and that you have been offended by it in order to say what you have said.

I do however stand by my comments John and if this is cause for me to be reprimanded then so be it, but I do feel that we all have the right to voice our opinions good or bad, for or against the establishment.
