In dec it will be cold at night and warmish during the day. If you travel out of LV you can actually ski in the winter. How cool is that!!

Loved the slot machines in the Casinos, especially as I won $375 on one, took the money and ran. We weren't exactly gambling mad, think we spent about $50 between 2 of us in a week. My favourtie hotel had to be Caesars Palace, absolutely amazing.[msnsmile2]

Without the slightest doubt, Caesar's Palace is the best Hotel / Casino in Las Vegas and it will be very hard to beat. The Mirage comes a close second though. I found Bellagio and The Venetian too uppity for LV's informal setting, lacking the 'vibe' of the other two ( and Rio, which I would put third on my 'best in LV' list).

I often wondered; in terms of today's real estate value, how would Las Vegas' 'Strip' compare with, say, WDW property in Orlando? (If we theoretically assume that The Strip is owned by a single organisation like Disney) Anybody have any idea?

Wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to the value of "The Strip" must be worth an absolute fortune.[msnoo]

Rio does a great breakfast buffet!! Have to disagree about Bellagio, we have stayed there and at Caesars and thought Bellagio was much nicer especially rooms and pool area. Caesars did "bump" us on our first reserved night in favour of conference delegates paying big bucks for room rates. They sent us to a suite in the Luxor, room was great but I found the hotel too dark. WE have stayed at MGM and New York New York as well but Bellagio is still my favourite.
