    tying the knot

here's a good one for you,
flying out on 2nd dec 04 for two weeks , and planning on getting married [4 kids and 18 years later]

we shall be staying in country creek and are hoping to find a county court for the licence and somewhere to tie the knot, nothing fancy just cheep and cheerful, no fuss,

    anyone any thoughts [?]
    much appreciated
    Sam

Congratulations! You'll find some info here about weddings (I know it's titled beach weddings but it's got some general info too!). http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...TOPIC_ID=11860

Have you thought about getting married at the villa if you want something quiet and simple?

Leu Gardens is very beautiful http://www.leugardens.org/house.html

Congratulations SamWe had our honeymoon but not the wedding in Florida. We got married after having lived together for 12 years and having had 2 children. I agree, very important not to rush into things

There's the white wedding chapel on 192 up near Medieval Times and Walmart. The sign says weddings from $50 and it looked nice with a wedding arbour in the grounds also. Alternatively why not at the villa that's what Drew and I hope to do next year. Ministers seem to charge around $250 for conducting the service at your villa.

The White wedding chapel (already mentioned)will come to the villa to marry you (I THINK IT IS ABOUT $500) They do limit numbers on a villa wedding (20?) and you get an arbour cake and other bits.

D.M. me and I will look up the drtails

I got maried at Leu Gardens in 2001. It was lovely . I'll post a link for the person who helped organise the whole thing (he's a minister!) but don't know if it will work.

We got married on the gazebo on the front page of that site. But the deck by the lake is also gorgeous and if we'd known we would have considered having the ceremony there.... but the gazebo was gorgeous anyway.

His name is Rev. Tim and he can put together any elements you like (ie transport, music, photographer etc)

He told us where the courthouse was but we actually applied for it over here (although miles more expensive but due to circumstances at the time, easier for us)
