If you click on the Search link at the top of any forum page and do a search you will find lots of comments about this airline.
if you have flew virgin from what I have heard you will notice a difference . I have not flew with tcd yet but will be on saturday, others I know have and say tcd was ok, it really depends what you expect from the flight All I require is for them to get me there, after all it is just a big taxi.regards Mike
I think that is the right thought Mike. I set a very low expectation then if things turn out well I feel better...
We flew with Travel City Direct last October. We found them to be excellent. We did upgrade to their version of first class, and though that it was definately worth the extra pounds. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The planes may be a little older and the ecor a little dated, but comfortable and they get you there.
I think Vrigin do have a very good name for themselves, but they then charge extra because they can. We havn't flown with them yet, so cant really comment or compare.
Travel City Direct also have a welcome centre at Lake Buena Vista factory stors, which we found to be very useful. They offer all the usual discount attraction tickets, as well as phone cards and advice and assistance.
We would fly with them again.

If you can afford the extra cost I would fly Virgin every time over TCD. In fact I would prefer to fly any scheduled flight against a charter.
The last TCD flight I took was OK but the in flight entertainment was somewhat lacking - no screens in the back of the seats only large monitors in the aisles that my kids found very difficult to see. Compared against Virgins entertainment system of movies, TV programs, music and Nintendo games, well there is no comparison.
Virgin seems to have come in for a bit of bashing lately on this forum, but from my experience as regular business user I would choose Virgin over any other carrier.

Hi All
Just as a matter of interest following my enquiries with them today for next years flights, it would appear that they will not be running the direct flight out of Cardiff. Watch this space.

I'm afraid my experiences with them have not been good. We flew out with them on Aug 8 and suffered a 10 Hour delay at Gatwick while they fixed one of their ageing 747s. On our return flight we were again delayed by another 7 hours at Sanford again due to repairs to the aircraft. I would also agree with the others regarding the in flight entertainment, just 1 screen in each compartment on the centre of the bulkhead, very difficult to see properly for the adults and near impossible for the kids. On the return flight we had nothing.
The only plus point is that they fly into Sanford which is an absolute breeze compared to MCO.
Angela,
If you decide to go with Virgin check out booking flight only with VA as this saved ud £1,000 over the quoted fly drives with either VH or numerous other TA quotes.
