    Mike,
There is loads of info on the www about this. I printed some stuff recently for future reference. Cannot remember the site but just type in hurricane checklist or the likes and you will get oodles of info. I think (???) some of the owners in future may supply things to be opened incase of emergency type packs.

    Blankets / Pillows, etc.

Special Items - for babies and the elderly

    Toiletries / Hygiene items / >Moisture wipes

    Flashlight / Batteries

    Hi Mike,

Having heard the good advice above it put me in mind of what my ol' grandpappy used to say about storms.
"If hurricanes approach your door, don't sit and moan or cry,
Get water, food and torches, and towels to keep you dry,
Get hickory for the barbeque and sausages to fry,
Sing songs , play games and tell some tales, to keep the spirits high.
But if it gets to categ'ry 6 theres nothing more to try,
Just put your head between your knees,
    And kiss your A** goodbye.

He lived to 98. ( I never did see his donkey?)

Don't forget to fill up the bath(s) with water beforehand for washing and loo flushing in case the water goes out.
