Thats assuming there is power and water available to your holiday destination!!
Be careful what you wish for Paul!!
Fingers crossed for a holiday that meets yours and your families expectations... whenever its rearranged.

After Charlie we had no power for 9 days - the people staying in our villa decided it was the most luxurious camping holiday they ever had but that is not something that would suit everyone soalthough you might be able to get to Florida it might not be that attractive on arrival.
perhaps we need to bring extra batteries for our flashlights/torches? yergh. i thought packing was scary enough without worrying about 9 days without power!

Why do some places in the same area loose power? In Charley, we were lucky enough at Calabay to maintain power and faired well. Yet other communities close by, DID loose power? Not that I am complaining at all, but surely we would all be getting our power from the same source wouldn't we?
No CarlAnn, you don't all get power from the same source. There are transformers dotted around which tend to blow up in hurricanes and also overhead power lines come down and break in the winds.
