Eating and drinking on the pool deck

It is important not to take anything made of glass onto the pool deck, no glasses or beer bottles. Broken glass in an area where people have bare feet is an obvious problem plus the glass may fall into the pool. The villa owner should provide plastic cups or glasses for use on the pool deck. If you are eating on the patio table, be sure to clean up very thoroughly after yourselves, wiping all surfaces and sweeping up crumbs, or you may attract insects to the pool deck.

As well as plastic glasses and a jug/pitcher, we also provide plastic plates, serving dishes and desert bowls for use on our pool deck as china is as dangerous for those bare feet as glass if it gets broken.

I even managed to find some strong plastic pilsner glasses in Target one year. They are really thick plastic and look just like glass. Hubby says the beer tastes the same from them as glass
