Just got up, huge racket outside, still pitch black here ( 5 ish am), trees blowing, wind howling. Eye is ashore, expected to reach S. Osceola county in about half an hour. Hubbie sleeping through it all!!

I can't remember hearing about so many hurricanes all at once in Florida before we bought a property there. Is this just a bad year or is it just that I am now paranoid?[msnscared]

No I read on Hurricane watch that this is a very bad year. And usually they head for us and then veer and the Carolinas get hit, or the Panhandle,or they just go across the bottom bit ( The Keys).

Just caught up on this thread after a few days away. I just wanted to say our thoughts are with holiday makers and villa owners.

A lot of people get the idea central FL is mostly storn free........but really all it means is that when storms hit......we get a Cat 1-2...but mostly TS or TD......for years the East coast have been having under the average amount of storms......having storm like this so close together is rare and last happened I think in 35 also around labourday.......
