    Dollar

I just got a nice email from Dollar, I sent an email when we got back cos one of their reps helped us out at the airport, so I mailed to let them know and to say thanks

They sent me a reply which was really nice saying they would pass on
our thanks and make a note on the young ladies record that she went out of her way to help us out.

Its good to know that she will be acknowledged for her kind help

Sorry, just thought this should be posted

Good one Chrisj As someone who works in retail its nice to know that you have taken the time to write and praise good service rather than complain.

It's always good to praise someone who has gone out of their way to help you, so that was a nice thought. It usually doesn't cost much (if anything) and helps to improve service more when they know they're getting something right.

I believe its important to complain for bad service, but I also believe you should also thank
people for good service when you get it. As far as were concerened she went above and beyond her
    job and should be recognised.

Im also pleased Dollar acknowledged my email, and will pass our sincere thanks onto her

There are so few people nowadays who know how to give credit where credit is due. Nobody has any problem, though with complaining if something isn't right. It's very important that we all make an effort to speak up and acknowledge a job well done. It's nice that you did that Chris and I'm sure you made that young lady's day!

Each time I have had a Dollar rental they have always tried to pressure me to upgrade and /or purchase extra insurance .They try to scare people into thinking they are not covered enough.Last time I pointed out I had prepaid for a full cover to Dollar and I would sue them if I found out it was not enough cover as promised on the origional contract .Result a free upgrade[8D].I prefer Alamo ,less hassle ,cleaner car`s.

I think to be honest they all try it on, its commission for them and they know your tired, thats
why we pre-pay for everything and theres no need to upgrade

We have never been really hassled over an upgrade, usually the subject may be mentioned (eg "Today we have a special offer of upgrading to a SUV for just xx a day"), but usually just a "No thank you the car we have booked will be fine" ends the subject. We have also never had any upgrade hassles over insurance as we always go fully inclusive and don't book fly-drive holidays.

Well done Chris on acknowledging the good service, we all appreciate a pat on the back, I just wish more people were like-minded.
