You may have a problem due to the fire chief saying BBQ are a major fire risks in the Villas; don't forget these villas are treated like a hotel and the owner is not in total control of what can and can not be done. Some villas actualy have NO BBQ allowed due to fire risk notices; think it may depend on which county the villa is in.
Basicaly: the pool netting and a BBQ don't mix, a BBQ needs to be more than a couple yards from the Villa so that means outside.

There are plenty of homes with gas barbecues because it isnt against any regulations to have one. It is ADVISABLE for barbecues to be outside and away from the screen areas but it isnt a strict regulation and therefore owners do have the right to decide whether to have one or not.I have one because the deck is large enough for it to be away from the screen and high enough that the fumes shouldnt clog in the screen area. Unless chained down most guests move them inside anyway rather than use them outside.

P.S I meant unless the barbecue is chained down not the guests
